Led by a team of planners from the Regional Transportation Authority (RTA), Chicago Departments of Transportation (CDOT) and Planning & Development (DPD), the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA), and the 33rd Ward Office, this study will assess the streets, curb space, and sidewalk within the study area, including curbside needs, walking conditions, infrastructure state of repair, and traffic safety. A community-focused engagement process will accompany the study to inform existing conditions, pain points, project outcomes, and improvement strategies.

Commercial Loading Zones are being installed in the Central Business District. They are intended to provide access for commercial deliveries, reduce double parking, improve traffic flow, and promote turnover in designated loading zones.
